VARIETY:

Chinese Cabbage, "Bilko” Disease resistant, dense heads with crispy, tender texture. Broad white midribs and pale green outer leaves with a creamy yellow interior. Larger than Kaboko F1 and Emiko F1 with similar barrel shape. Andy Jones of the Intervale Community Farm uses it to supply Napa cabbage to his CSA into late fall. Long storage. 12" heads. High Resistance: Clubroot, Fusarium Yellows. Sold in packs of 3.

CULTURE:

Cabbage, as well as cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, and related Brassicas, are heavy feeders. They require fertile soils in a pH range of 6.5-7.5, supplied with consistent irrigation throughout the growing period. Individual plants require at least 18-24 square inches of garden space to mature properly.
