Why choose Winterspring Farm plants for your garden?
The plants we offer are curated by your professional farmers. They are selected based on optimal performance for gardens our climate zone (5), natural disease resistance, and excellent flavor.
We use only the highest quality of organic potting mix available, from Vermont Compost. We source our seeds from trusted organic distributors, including High Mowing, Strictly Medicinal, Cultivating the Commons, Eden Brothers, and Johnny’s.
Grown organically with love, all of our seedlings are free from pesticides and herbicides. Neonicotinoids, a type of systemic pesticide that is commonly used on any seedling that isn’t organic, stays in the tissues of the plant for the duration of its lifecycle and can even contaminate the soil it was grown in as it decomposes. This particular pesticide is harmful for bees, who visit your flowerbed in search of food. If you love pollinators, and want to invite them into your garden, our flower selections are pollinator-safe. Learn more about systemic pesticides and their impact on pollinators, waterways, wildlife, and humans from the Xerces Society website.
Thank you, gardeners!
