Why choose Winterspring Farm plants for your garden
The plants we offer are farmer picked, tried-and-true classic varieties that are worry-free and selected for optimal performance for gardens in the Greater Milwaukee area. In addition to vegetable and herb plants, we always include many options of flowers that look beautiful in the garden and offer ideal nourishment for the pollinators.
We use only the highest quality of organic potting mix available, from Vermont Compost, for our seedlings to ensure their success. We source our seeds from trusted organic distributors, including High Mowing, Strictly Medicinal, Cultivating the Commons, and Johnny’s.
Grown organically with love, all of our seedlings are free from pesticides and herbicides. Neonicotinoids, a type of systemic pesticide that is commonly used on any seedling that isn’t organic, stays in the tissues of the plant for the duration of its lifecycle and can even contaminate the soil it was grown in as it decomposes. This particular pesticide is harmful for bees, who visit your flowerbed in search of food. If you love bees, and want to invite them into your garden, buy organic flower seeds and seedlings!
